Minimum Qualification-Education/ExperienceĮxperience and Training: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Perform other related duties as required. Pursue resource development through partnerships, grants, and other appropriate means. Make presentations to businesses and industries as part of community outreach and recruitment for various college programs. Design and implement programs and workshops to address concerns and needs of students. Promote college programs through participation at school college nights, community meetings, and other outreach events. Develop strategies and implement a recruitment plan that identifies and encourages target populations to enroll in college programs and courses assist faculty and staff in outreach efforts. Assist in reviewing and prioritizing financial resources for use in outreach activities. Organize and direct college departmental work teams to recruit potential students and promote college programs and services. Serve as a leader in team building, problem solving, and communication processes within the college setting and when representing the college to external groups to develop partnerships. ![]() Research and interpret policies and procedures related to the development and implementation of educational partnerships participate in designing, communicating, and implementing procedures. Participate in the oversight, coordination, and operation of the neighborhood college sites and in the development of new course ideas. Assess needs develop, implement, and evaluate strategies for partnerships with public and private secondary schools, institutions of higher education, and community organizations. ![]() Occasional evenings or weekends as requiredĭepartment D1075-Occupational & Community Ed/Ecĭuties may include, but are not limited to: Represent the college to a wide variety of agencies, groups, and individuals seeking to develop community/educational partnerships as a bridge for their employees/prospective students to further their education. These increases will occur, on an annual basis, until the maximum step of $5,997 per month is reached on the salary schedule Based on current salary placement guidelines, all step increases for which an employee becomes eligible shall take place on July 1st of each fiscal year. Note: New employees will be placed at the first step which is $4,923 per month. The placement will be based on relevant experience determined through the application and interview process. As part of a dedicated team of professionals, the Work-based Learning Coordinator will participate in regional planning and local implementation of best practices to meet the state mandates for the Strong Workforce Program. Collaboration with DVC staff, faculty, the workforce development board, county agencies, community-based organizations and industry partners is a key component of this position. The other Work-based Learning Coordinator position will assist faculty in the development and facilitation of their advisory committee meetings and will continuously work to broaden the employer contacts for the college, faculty and the workforce development unit. This position will coordinate employer outreach and industry engagement activities that both support CTE faculty and lead to job opportunities for students. As part of the Workforce Development team, one of the Work-based Learning Coordinators will coordinate the Work Experience program including recruiting students, managing the enrollment process and coordinate the faculty schedules and payroll. ![]() The two Community and Education Partnership Liaison positions will serve as Work-based Learning Coordinators for Career and Technical Education ( CTE ) programs at Diablo Valley College.
